Terms of Use

Accounts are held by an adult (a parent or guardian) or by a gymnast aged 13 or older. Younger gymnasts may use Flipside only under the supervision of a parent or guardian who holds the account. If you add information about a gymnast who is a minor, you confirm you are their parent or guardian, or otherwise have the right to do so.

You're responsible for your account — keep your password safe, and let us know right away if you think someone else is using it.

Flipside offers a free trial, after which continued access to premium features requires a paid subscription (currently $6.99/month or $66.99/year — see Pricing for the latest).

Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.

How to cancel — if you subscribed on the web, go to Settings → Manage Subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store, open your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Refunds — purchases made through Apple are subject to Apple's refund policies; request refunds through Apple. For web purchases, contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.

Prices may change; we'll notify you before a change affects your subscription.

You own what you add to Flipside — scores, practice logs, goals, photos, videos, and ChalkTalk posts. You give us the limited license we need to host, process, and display that content so Flipside works (for example, storing a routine video, analyzing it when you ask, or showing your post to the community).

Only upload content you have the right to share. If a video or photo includes other people, make sure you have their (or their parent's) permission.

ChalkTalk is a gym-friendly space. Be kind and supportive. Don't post content that is harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that bullies or shames anyone — especially young athletes. Don't share other people's personal information, impersonate others, spam, or post anything illegal.

We moderate the community (including with automated tools) and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior.

Meet scores and results are gathered from official public scoring sources. We work to keep them accurate and timely, but the official scoring provider is always the authoritative record.

Flipside Coach and AI video analysis are informational tools meant to help you understand gymnastics — they are not a substitute for a qualified coach, and nothing in Flipside is medical, safety, or training advice. Always follow the guidance of your coaches and medical professionals.

Don't misuse Flipside — no scraping or bulk-collecting data from the service, reverse engineering, interfering with its operation, accessing other users' accounts or data, or using Flipside to break the law.

The Flipside app, name, logo, design, and features belong to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don't give you any right to use them outside of using the app as intended.

You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

Flipside is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every score will sync perfectly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flipside won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

If you downloaded Flipside from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and Flipside, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app and is not responsible for it, but Apple (and its subsidiaries) may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary. In-app purchases are billed and managed by Apple under Apple's own terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Flipside after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Flipside is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
